About Opus

Our story, from elite sport to today.

Opus is a sports medicine clinic founded in 2018 by Dr David Porter, bringing sports medicine, regenerative medicine and physiotherapy together in one place.

The clinic treats professional and amateur athletes, people in physically demanding work and anyone whose body has to perform. Its doctors, physiotherapists and specialists share patients and agree a single plan for each one.

Working with the regulators, Dr Porter brought allogeneic mesenchymal stem cell therapy to the UK, and Opus is the country’s first private provider of licensed stem cell treatment.

Chelsea FC
Dr David Porter joins Chelsea FC as club doctor.
2015
A new approach
He becomes Men’s First Team Doctor and begins using regenerative treatments to help players back from serious injury.
2018
Opus is founded
Elite sports medicine, taken beyond football.

Physiotherapy joins
The start of a multidisciplinary team working together.
