It involves diagnosing physical abnormalities, restoring physical function and mobility, maintaining physical function, and promoting physical activity and proper function.

How does physiotherapy help with injury recovery?

Physiotherapy helps by using therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or heat to alleviate pain, reduce swelling, and restore normal function and mobility. The approach is tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

    What conditions can physiotherapy treat?

Physiotherapy can treat a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries (like back pain and sports injuries), neurological conditions (such as stroke or multiple sclerosis), cardiorespiratory conditions (including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and women’s health (link to women’s health) concerns (such as prenatal and postnatal conditions).

What should I expect during my first physiotherapy appointment?

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist at Opus?

While a referral is not always necessary, some insurance providers may require one for coverage purposes. It’s a good idea to consult your insurance plan or contact us (link to contact page) directly at Opus for specific details.
